Job summary

Strathcona Resources Ltd., headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, seeks an experienced Senior Supply Chain Analyst to support its Capital program in project and facilities areas. You will lead RFx sourcing, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement across EPC contractors, while mentoring junior analysts.

The role requires 10+ years in Oil & Gas supply chains, strong stakeholder influence, and deep ERP and procurement system knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting internal stakeholders within Capital Projects and Construction environments.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and gain alignment with senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing complex contracts and commercial models.
  • 10+ years of Supply Chain experience in Oil & Gas industry.
  • Completion or enrollment in SCMP program is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Oil and Gas Upstream Operations.
  • Experience dealing with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction).
  • Proficient in ERP systems: Maximo, AFE Navigator, Aucerna Execute, Wellview, OpenInvoice, Obyte, MS Applications and Complyworks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Supply Chain and procurement support for the Strathcona Capital program focusing on Project, Facilities & Construction assets.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives (RFx), proposal evaluations and commercial negotiations to maximize value and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and achieve preferred pricing; expediting and contract administration as needed.
  • Coordinate with disciplines on progress and schedule related to contracts; monitor project progress.
  • Develop and maintain procurement plans; contribute to weekly and monthly reports.
  • Align SCM strategies with business priorities through cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Draft, negotiate and manage complex commercial agreements with clear terms and warranties.
  • Manage large multi-discipline RFP packages (e.g., Mechanical & E&I Construction Services).
  • Create and manage service orders, purchase orders and change orders; oversee procurement through EPC contractors.
  • Monitor contractor compliance using vendor management tools (e.g., Complyworks).
  • Mentor and coach junior and intermediate supply chain analysts.

Strathcona Resources is actively seeking an experienced Supply Chain Analyst to join our Supply Chain team at our Calgary office.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Supply Chain Capital, the Senior Supply Chain Analyst will perform the day‑to‑day Supply Chain activities to support the Strathcona Project & Facilities program.

The successful candidate will:
  • Provide Supply Chain and procurement support for the Strathcona Capital program with focus on Project and Facilities & Construction assets.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives (RFx) development, proposal evaluations and commercial negotiations to achieve the best overall value for Strathcona while meeting business, legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Leverage buying power to negotiate contracts, and achieve preferred pricing
  • Perform routine expediting and contract administration for all procured materials, goods, and services, as required.
  • Liaise with all disciplines on progress and schedule related to contracts.
  • Review project progress and act when required to rectify issues that arise.
  • Development and maintenance of procurement plans.
  • Contributions to Weekly/Monthly reports.
  • Assist in the coordination and alignment of teams across disciplines and projects to ensure corporate consistency.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align SCM strategies with business priorities.
  • Draft, negotiate and manage complex commercial agreements, ensuring clarity on commercial terms, deliverables, change order mechanisms and warranty obligations.
  • Issue and manage large multidiscipline RFP packages such and Mechanical & E&I Construction Services.
  • Creation and management of service orders, purchase orders and change orders.
  • Oversee and support all procurement processes executed through designated EPC contractors.
  • Monitor contractor compliance using vendor management tools (e.g. Complyworks)
  • Support professional growth of junior and intermediate supply chain analysts through mentorship and coaching
  • Support various other Supply Chain related projects within the organization.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting internal stakeholders within Capital Projects and Construction environments.
  • Strong ability to influence, negotiate and gain alignment with a variety of stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing complex contracts and commercial models, with the ability to identify and address key legal and commercial issues.
  • 10 - years minimum Supply Chain experience of Oil and Gas industry experience.
  • Completion or enrollment in SCMP program is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Oil and Gas Upstream Operations.
  • Experience dealing with Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC).
  • Proficient and adaptable in ERP systems: possessing advanced computer knowledge and professional competence related to work functions in Maximo, AFE Navigator, Aucerna Execute, Wellview, OpenInvoice, Obyte, MS Applications and Complyworks.
