About The Role

As a Senior Supplier Performance Manufacturing Engineering you will perform on-site and remote supplier oversight to ensure Westinghouse technical and quality requirements are achieved.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Supply Execution Excellence Americas and be located at Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. You will have a hybrid work arrangement of 2 to 3 days per week in the office.

Main Responsibilities

Supplier Oversight

  • Develop and implement Supplier Oversight Plans to lead completion of critical document submittals, manufacturing activities, surveillance points, inspections, and tests and vendor compliance
  • Oversee supplier performance including Supply Chain, Design Engineering, and Supplier Quality Oversight
  • Resolved issues by coordinating activities, issuing communications, and identifying partners to ensure prompt identification of impacted products, disposition of issues, and implementation of corrective action

Supplier Development

  • Perform technical evaluations of all suppliers to assess manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, compliance with applicable regulations, codes and standards, and associated risks
  • Lead supplier development and qualification activities for new products, supplier improvement programs, and cost reduction efforts.
  • Review and disposition supplier process documents, process capability analyses, measurement system analyses, input to design for manufacturability.
  • Work with Design Engineering to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and that all expectations are communicated to support suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in engineering/manufacturing
  • Experience preferred in the Power Generation or Nuclear Industries but could be in any of the following industries: Oil & Gas, Pipelines, Refineries, Offshore Oil Production Platforms, Ship Building, Manufacturing Plants, Supply Chain.
  • Knowledge in manufacturing processes, e.g. precision machining (turning, milling), welding, forming, mechanical assembly, NDE and inspection, and testing
  • Experience performing process capability analysis and qualification
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans, PFMEAs.
  • Experience leading multiple, concurrent projects
  • Experience authoring technical documents or operating procedures
  • Read drawings and specifications made to ASME standards

It is a bona fide job requirement to be eligible and authorized to travel to the U.S. on Westinghouse business, and such travel is subject to the rules and regulations of the U.S. Department of Energy, as well as compliance with all applicable U.S. export laws and regulations.
