Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Supervisor, Transportation Operations on a permanent basis on our Supply Chain team.

This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, Saskatchewan.

We are looking for a strong operational leader to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible to manage the trucking and rail fleets for Petroleum operations, as well as other commodity groups within FCL. What you’ll do:

  • Lead and guide the Transportation Operations teams, overseeing outbound dispatch, fleet performance, and delivery operations while ensuring cost control, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will also manage the outbound carrier network and support fleet safety and asset performance priorities.
  • Train new staff, support the Route Planning Supervisor(s), and ensure service levels and departmental procedures are met. This includes mentoring, performance evaluations, and managing regional carrier reviews to maintain strong relationships with Lease Operators, partner carriers, and our rail providers.
  • Support the direct supervisor in developing the regional budget, monitoring performance through KPIs like on-time delivery and carrier expenses, and investigating variances in operational expenses. Focus on identifying and implementing efficiency improvements to increase outbound load tonnage and reduce trip counts.
  • Collaborate with retailers, Petroleum Operations, and stakeholders to resolve transportation issues, optimize carrier schedules, and implement plans during high-demand periods.
  • Maintain routing files for all retailers serviced by the regional operation and manage fleet registration and permitting for the operation.

The Team: You will work closely with the Transportation Operations team and collaborate with Petroleum Operations and Fleet Services. You will lead a team and report into the Senior Manager, Transportation Operations while striving to cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation, and safety.

Who you are:

  • Looking for a career in Supply Chain with 6-9 years of relevant progressively responsible experience, including 3+ years of class I rail experience.
  • Holding a Diploma in Business, Engineering, or Logistics (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Having experience in a previous supervisory position and working with automated systems is considered an asset.
  • CITT designation is an asset.
