You will ensure the ongoing operation of the department is performing effectively and efficiently, meeting all month-end deadlines. General responsibilities include reviewing work of administrative staff, coordinating work-flow processes, providing knowledge and guidance for commission related issues and projects (for Clients, Finance and Technology). Investigation is typically required to complete the work and an in-depth knowledge of CIBC World Markets policy is preferred.*At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.*The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $66,090 to $85,550. The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program. Support colleagues in resolving complex matters while helping ensure work is completed accurately and on time.* Strengthen processes, controls, and reporting – Support the effective execution of procedures and controls related to commission processing, reconciliations, financial journals, reporting, and attestations. Help identify gaps, investigate variances, and promote compliance with audit, SOX, and business continuity requirements.* Lead complex issue resolution and stakeholder support – Investigate/solve commission-related inquiries, General Ledger impacts, and technical issues, and provide guidance on escalations, projects, and business initiatives involving partners across Finance, Technology, and the business.* Drive continuous improvement – Identify opportunities to improve workflows, enhance efficiency, and support implementation of process or system changes.
