Job summary

PERI is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of Designers, Engineers, and Draftspeople in Burnaby, overseeing projects, resource allocation, and technical guidance. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, with cross-functional collaboration and a focus on delivering cost-effective engineering solutions.

You will mentor staff, manage schedules, ensure timely invoicing, and drive performance across the team while upholding PERI's values and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; P.Eng. designation is an asset.
• 8+ years of experience in structural engineering/construction with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• 4+ years of experience with structural analysis software.
• Experience in formwork design; scaffolding is an asset.
• Strong leadership and communication with knowledge of Canadian Building Codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the local Engineering team with training, coaching, and adherence to QMS and PPMP.
• Serve as primary client contact to understand needs and strengthen relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales consultants and other design professionals to deliver cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Assign tasks, define objectives, and monitor team performance and outcomes.
• Oversee design of formwork, shoring, and scaffolding for construction projects while ensuring compliance.
