Job summary

Gilder Search Group is partnering with a well-established Calgary-based consultancy to recruit an Intermediate/Senior Structural Engineer. You will work on a diverse portfolio, from healthcare to commercial and residential, and collaborate with experienced engineers to deliver technically sound designs.

You will lead design efforts, mentor junior staff, and advance toward project management while maintaining high technical standards and strong client communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA (or eligible).
• 5–8 years of structural consulting experience for intermediate level; 8+ for senior.
• Experience designing building structures for commercial, institutional, healthcare, residential, or mixed-use developments.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building projects.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and provide engineering support during construction.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers (Senior level).
• Assist with project coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
