The role combines leadership, client interaction, and technical involvement, mentoring junior staff and overseeing projects from design through construction close-out. P.Eng eligibility and 8+ years’ consulting experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• P.Eng designation or eligibility within Manitoba.
• 8+ years of experience in consulting engineering/building design.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor team members effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and project delivery for a variety of building projects, including commercial, residential, institutional, and mixed-use developments
• Oversee projects from conceptual design through construction administration and project close-out
• Maintain and build strong client relationships through regular communication and project involvement
• Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineers/designers within the structural team
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architectural, mechanical, electrical, and contractor groups
• Participate in site reviews, construction meetings, and field coordination as required
• Provide technical guidance and contribute to overall project planning, scheduling, and quality control
