Qualifications

  • P.Eng designation in Ontario or eligible for PEO
  • PEO registration and good standing
  • Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience in a consulting environment
  • Strong leadership and mentoring experience
  • Experience with commercial, institutional, industrial, residential, and municipal buildings
  • Extensive knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, Parts 4 and 9
  • Proven project management and business development experience
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Extensive experience designing, analyzing, and assessing commercial, institutional, industrial, residential, and municipal buildings.
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, including Parts 4 and 9.
  • Experience managing engineering projects of varying sizes and complexity.
  • Demonstrated project management and business development experience.
  • Experience managing and mentoring technical staff.
  • Strong understanding of project budgets, schedules, utilization, and profitability.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering design and analysis software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation, guidelines, codes, and engineering standards.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
