Description

This position offers a hybrid work schedule with a mix of on-site and remote work.

  • Work with multi-disciplinary engineering and design teams to develop structural physical layout drawings in 3D models.
  • Design structural supports and foundations, troubleshoot, and resolve structural design issues.
  • Use 3D modeling software to generate structural schematics.
  • Lead the coordination of detailed design phases for an integrated structural model.
  • Coordinate and guide other designers and team members to ensure timely and complete designs.
  • Plan and execute structural design deliverables independently and as part of a team.
  • Assist senior designers and engineers in field walkdowns and data collection at client sites (opportunity).
  • Mentor less experienced drafters and designers.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Technical education in drafting or related field, or a high school diploma with relevant coursework or experience.
  • At least 5 years of detailed design experience in structural steel and reinforced concrete drawings.
  • Proficiency with 3D plant layout modeling software.
  • Experience reviewing structural layout drawings involving steel, concrete, supports, and rebar.
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Valued but not required experience:

  • Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
  • Associate’s Degree in CAD or similar.
  • Knowledge of technical plans, blueprints, and modeling principles.
  • Understanding of engineering science and technology applications.
