Reporting to the Director, Intergovernmental Relations (IGR), we are seeking a Mi'kmaw or other Indigenous individual for the Senior Strategist, Mi’kmaq / Indigenous Relations to be a key member of the department’s IGR team. The Strategist will hold responsibility for developing and maintaining productive working relationships with Mi’kmaq and other Indigenous partners, health system leadership, and government partners at all levels.
This position will lead policy work to develop, promote, and advance, the department’s formal governmental relationship with the Mi’kmaq of Nova Scotia within the provincial health system.

You hold a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with several years of progressive and demonstrated experience in building strong partnerships, leadership, strategy, and project management. Location:Flexible in Nova Scotia (with flexible office locations to be considered from Mi’kmaw communities)
Remote Work Flexibility: We offer the flexibility for the successful candidate to work in an office setting from their home community.
Pay Grade: EC 12
Salary Range: $3,760.89- $4,701.11Bi-Weekly
