What you’ll be doing

Talent Acquisition delivers top-tier experiences to make CIBC the destination of choice for top talent, including candidates from co-op, undergraduate, or postgraduate programs. As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Partner, you’ll proactively source, identify, and assess external talent, hiring strong talent and leaders to enhance our client and employee experiences. You will support enterprise-wide functions such as Early Talent, Technology, Infrastructure & Innovation, Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, Risk Management, Finance, and People, Culture, and Brand by developing strategic talent attraction strategies, sourcing plans, and recruiting high-quality passive candidates.

At CIBC, we enable an optimal work environment for you to thrive. You’ll have flexibility within a hybrid work model, spending 1-3 days on-site and the rest remotely.

How you’ll succeed
  • Strategic Sourcing – Develop and implement sourcing plans, utilize social media, ATS (Workday), attend industry events, and lead marketing and sourcing campaigns. Build candidate pipelines, maintain a professional social media presence, prospect talent through networks, and advise hiring managers using diverse assessment techniques. Cold call and influence passive candidates to join our organization.
  • Business Acumen – Stay updated on labor market trends and competitor insights to advise business partners, forecast hiring needs, and advocate for effective sourcing strategies and technologies.
  • Relationship Management – Build strong relationships with leaders, partners, and candidates. Provide a top-tier candidate experience, manage talent pipelines, and consult with business partners on talent acquisition processes.
  • Project Management – Support recruitment projects, build pipelines for growth, assist with onboarding, and contribute to projects from the Centre of Excellence.
  • Inclusive Talent Management – Promote diversity initiatives, collaborate with the inclusion team, and meet hiring goals.
