JOB SUMMARY

You are responsible for the data conversion, migration and overall analytics strategy of a temporary, large-scale, high profile operational project: the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Renewal SAP S/4HANA Modernization initiative. You ensure alignment between business and technical goals related to the analytics strategy through the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and are instrumental in driving the project success.

You provide data analytics strategy experience and technical analytical experience, overseeing project resources to define, plan and deliver the data conversion, migration and analytics strategy for SAP S/4HANA across the City. You are responsible for coordinating with other managers, project leadership and team members to manage dependencies, timelines, risks and integration points across the project.

You also provide consultation and advice to client groups and project leadership on data conversion, migration and the overall analytics strategy, ensuring the project meets business needs and improves business operations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of a 4-year university degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in a data collection, statistical, analytical and performance measurement function. Performance and quality experience should include implementing performance management frameworks, observing and applying best practices, implementing and evaluating performance metrics, and leading efforts between clients to ensure cohesive application of quality standards. Business intelligence and analytics experience should include developing analytic models, establishing best practices and processes, working with business intelligence and data visualization tools and large datasets, and conducting and interpreting statistical analyses and predictive modeling.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES

Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) current with CPA Ontario is desirable.

  • Knowledge and understanding of data systems, statistical data collection, data analytics, databases, and statistical analysis methods and tools.
  • Knowledge of survey techniques and methodologies and emerging research technology.
  • Knowledge of automated Quality Assurance systems.

  • Statistical methods related to quality tracking and reporting.
