About North :

North is Cohere's cutting-edge AI workspace platform, designed to revolutionize the way enterprises utilize AI. As a Senior / Staff Software Engineer, you will :

1. Build and ship features for North, our AI workspace platform
2. Develop autonomous agents that talk to sensitive enterprise data
3. Write and ship minimal code that runs in low-resource environments, and has highly stringent deployment mechanisms
4. Re-invent the wheel when necessary, especially regarding security and privacy, avoiding popular libraries or tooling
5. Collaborate with researchers to productionize state-of-the-art models and techniques

You may be a good fit if :

1. Have shipped (lots of) Python in production
2. Have built and deployed high-performance client-side or server-side RAG / agentic applications to millions of users
3. Have strong coding abilities and are comfortable working across the stack, able to understand and fix issues outside of the main code base
4. Have experience in both large enterprises and startups
5. Thrive in fast-paced environments and can adapt to changing priorities and objectives
