How You Will Contribute

• Reporting to the Director of Applications and Systems Engineering, you will collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and R&D to deliver industry-leading products for the datacenter interconnects market.
• You will provide support materials and customer assistance that exceed expectations.
• You will work with and advise optical transceiver vendors from design to operationalization of our technology.

Role Overview

As a Product Applications Engineer, you will deliver first-line technical support to customers designing with our DSP chips. Your responsibilities include enabling, configuring, and integrating Alphawave products into customer designs, engaging with R&D to improve products, and supporting evaluation and reference designs.

What You’ll Do

• Lead technical communication with customers from project kickoff to production, coordinating with R&D as needed.
• Write datasheets, product briefs, user guides, and application notes.
• Support evaluation board and reference design development.
• Validate product performance in applications.
• Diagnose and resolve issues during product bring-up and validation.
• Travel occasionally.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including board design, optical module design, or Applications Engineering.
• Knowledge of high-speed interconnects, DSPs, and optical transmission (PAM4, Coherent).
• Experience troubleshooting firmware and hardware issues in high-speed DSPs and optical modules.
• Extensive experience with DSP-based Ethernet Serdes for electrical or optical applications.
• Masters or PhD preferred.
