The Qualcomm Global Automotive team offers optimized solutions for Infotainment and Autonomous Driving systems. We seek ambitious, bright, and innovative engineers to join this initiative. Responsibilities include:

1. Implementing embedded systems based on Qualcomm’s Infotainment & ADAS SoCs and platforms.
2. Collaborating with product owners and domain/technology experts to define specifications, lead software design/implementation, and integrate/validate software within larger systems.
3. Engaging with Automotive OEMs, Tier-1s, and ISVs to implement solutions based on Qualcomm Automotive platforms.

We are looking for candidates for the Automotive Audio Customer Engineering Lead position with the following experience and skills:

Experience:

• 15+ years of experience with a Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 6-8 years of software development experience.
• 4-6 years of experience in a customer-facing role.

Technical Knowledge:

• Audio Basics: Knowledge of audio peripherals and terminology, including microphones, speakers, amplifiers, mixers, audio interfaces, sample rates, bit widths, channels, gain, and filters.
• Software Architecture and Open Source Software: Experience with Android Audio, Pulse Audio, ALSA, Tinyalsa, and Qualcomm Audio architecture or Audio Weaver is advantageous.
• Software Tools: Familiarity with audio tools like Audacity, GoldWave, and Qualcomm tools such as QXDM, QACT, QUTS, or Audio Weaver Designer.
• Signal Processing: Knowledge of audio signal processing techniques like equalization, compression, reverb, and noise reduction.
• Embedded OS: Understanding of processes, threads, concurrency, synchronization, memory management, and inter-process communication on platforms like Linux, Android, or QNX.
• Programming and Data Structures: Proficiency in C/C++, Java, Python, with understanding of arrays, stacks, queues, linked lists.
• Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software audio issues using tools like Trace32, GDB, Logic Analyzers, and logs analysis.

Customer Service Skills:

• Clear and empathetic communication skills.
• Patience and persistence in resolving complex issues.
• Ability to conduct training sessions and webinars.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of customer interactions.

Additional Skills:

• Collaboration with development, product management, and marketing teams.
• Continuous learning of industry trends and advancements in audio technology.
