Job summary

Equinix, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff‑level engineer to architect, deploy and troubleshoot advanced software solutions that integrate with our global API ecosystem.

You will design tooling for API governance, SDK/IaC/documentation generation, and developer platform workflows running on Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. You’ll lead across teams to improve developer experience and reliability through automation, including AI-assisted checks.

Qualifications

• Strong coding skills in Go or Python or JavaScript.
• Senior Staff-level experience building and operating production systems or internal developer platforms.
• Deep experience with API lifecycle management and governance (OpenAPI, OAuth2/OIDC, versioning, compatibility).
• Hands-on experience with Terraform (providers and modules), Kubernetes, and Linux-based CI/CD.
• Familiarity with gateways/edge technologies (e.g., Apigee, ALB, Ingress, Envoy) and identity/authorization patterns.
• An automation-first mindset and comfort owning systems end-to-end while leading through influence.

Job Summary

Responsible for architecture, design, deployment, and troubleshooting of different software solutions. Interacts with the business and product teams to influence requirements. Responsible for integration with all business systems and applications. Works closely with the architecture and networking teams, to influence the design, validation, and deployments.

• Experience with MCP and safe agentic/AI workflows for developer tooling

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 131,000 - 181,000 CAD / Annual

The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
