Overview

We are a full-service tax accounting firm offering income tax, assurance, estate planning, business consulting, accounting software advice, and many other financial related services.

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with experience in both personal and corporate taxation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Canadian accounting and financial statements with the ability to manage tax filings and compliance for both individuals and corporate clients. This is a remote position, and the candidate must be disciplined and motivated in order to work independently from home.

Responsibilities
  • Tax Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and review personal and corporate tax returns (T1, T2, and other relevant forms) for individuals, corporations, and partnerships in compliance with Canadian tax laws. Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns to meet deadlines.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing timely, accurate, and insightful tax advice.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in Canadian tax accounting, with a focus on both personal and corporate taxation.
  • Experience preparing T1, T2, GST / HST, and other relevant tax filings.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles and the tax implications of financial reporting.
  • Proficient in tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Taxprep), Caseware and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of tax work.

  • Salary range of $60,000-$70,000 depending on experience
