Job summary

GGFL LLP in Ottawa is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to lead assurance and advisory work. You’ll design and supervise audit procedures, prepare engagement files and financial statements, and provide proactive client communications.

You bring 3+ years in a public accounting firm, strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and taxes, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset. CPA in progress is welcomed; we support growth and a clear career path.

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and Canadian tax.

Responsibilities

• Running large audit and review engagements, including designing and tweaking audit procedures.
• Preparing engagement files, financial statements, and professional client communications.
• Getting in on corporate tax planning and preparing corporate tax returns.

Key Responsibilities

• Running the show on large audit and review engagements—including designing and tweaking audit procedures
• Preparing engagement files, financial statements, and professional client communication
• Getting in on the action with tax planning for corporate clients
• Preparing corporate tax returns like a boss
