Position Overview

The successful candidate will perform various engagements including audits, reviews, and tax return preparations, applying firm practices effectively.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare year-end working paper files and financial statements for audit, review, and compilation engagements.
  • Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns, along with other required returns.
  • Collaborate with staff at all levels, from Staff Accountant to Partner.
  • Engage with clients to gather necessary information for tasks.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
  • Canadian CPA designation.
  • Knowledge of ASPE, ASNPO, Income Tax Act, and Excise Tax Act.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in CaseWare is required.
  • Experience with Taxprep or similar software, iFirm, and Doc.it is an asset.
  • Desire to work in an office environment.
  • Access to a vehicle is an asset.

Location

This is a hybrid remote position based in Guelph, Ontario. The successful candidate will work from our office 3 days a week and remotely 2 days a week, subject to employer approval.
