Job summary

Google is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to lead a distributed team in Canada. You will design, scale and run fault-tolerant systems, with emphasis on reliability and performance for Google services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS or related field.
• 8+ years in software development with strong data structures and algorithms.
• At least 3 years of people management, leading projects and distributed systems design.

Responsibilities

• Lead SRE initiatives to improve MTTD/MTTM and automate incident response.
• Oversee cross-location collaboration with Tech Leads and domain experts.
• Define and monitor Network SLOs and ensure high reliability for services.
• Partner with PLANET and SRE shards to ensure robust end-to-end repair coverage.
