Job summary

The SR&ED Tax Incentives group at KPMG Canada is hiring a Senior SR&ED Consultant with a software engineering background. You will assess projects, attend client meetings with CTOs and architects, and draft technical summaries that justify SR&ED claims.

You’ll translate complex software work into clear narratives for CRA reviewers and tax partners, manage multiple engagements to deadlines, and stay current with evolving SR&ED rules and software practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software, mechatronics, or electrical engineering.
• Some SR&ED experience is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate technical work into narratives for tax purposes.

Responsibilities

• Attend client meetings with CTOs, chief architects, and developers to identify architectures, frameworks, integrations, and algorithms.
• Write technical summaries that justify SR&ED projects for CRA review.
• Interview client staff, examine products and operations, and document findings.
• Manage multiple engagements to deadlines and stay current with SR&ED legislation and guidance.
