Job summary

Export Development Canada (EDC) is seeking a Sr. SQA Analyst to join the Insurance Squad within the Digital Platform Delivery and Architecture group.

You will define test strategies, design and execute manual and automated tests, and ensure high-quality enterprise software solutions. The role blends hands-on testing with test framework ownership, collaboration with developers, product owners, and delivery teams, and participation in CI/CD to enable faster, reliable releases.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in QA test automation or software development.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Web Application Testing: testing web applications, including functional, usability, security, and performance testing.
Minimum 3 years’ experience testing backend services (API) and integration points.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Agile working.
Advanced knowledge of IT systems development principles and practices.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience with Azure Dev Ops, Jira or other requirement/defect management tool(s).

Responsibilities

Define and execute test strategies aligned to solution architecture and quality objectives across IT initiatives.
Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases to validate functional, integration, regression, and non-functional requirements.
Design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for high-value, repeatable tests.
Integrate automated tests into the development and CI/CD lifecycle for continuous testing.
Identify, document, track, and retest defects with development teams until resolution.
Support and validate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users.
Collaborate with cross-functional delivery and business stakeholders to embed quality and report on testing progress.
