Job summary

Export Development Canada (EDC) in Ottawa offers a Sr. SQA Analyst role within the Insurance Squad of the Digital Platform Delivery and Architecture group.

The position combines hands-on testing (manual and automated) with ownership of test frameworks, tooling, and delivery-quality outcomes across IT initiatives. Qualifications

• Education: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in QA test automation or software development.
• 5+ years' experience in Web Application Testing (functional, usability, security, performance).
• 3+ years' experience testing backend services/API and integration points.
• 2+ years' Agile experience.
• Advanced knowledge of IT systems development principles and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira or other requirement/defect management tools.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute test strategies aligned to architecture and delivery timelines.
• Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases for functional/integration/regression requirements.
• Design and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts focusing on high-value scenarios.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD for continuous testing.
• Identify, document, retest defects with development teams for timely resolution.
• Support and validate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users.
