About the role

Join the Enterprise Architecture and Artificial Intelligence team as a Senior Specialist, Intelligent Automation. The incumbent will be responsible for building the portfolio of initiatives (process driven) and oversee the successful delivery. The role requires working closely with leadership across the different business lines (LOB) to elicit and identify opportunities (behavioural layer), risks and outcomes to solutions with a focus on growing and maturing the capability at CMHC.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide recommendations and guidance on the evaluation, selection, procurement, instalment, configuration and adoption of tools and capabilities in support of the program goals and maturity assessment.
  • Identify Intelligent Automation opportunities and strategies that will meet business needs and targets, leads the documentation of requirements needed to carry out the solution and articulates the specific business requirements by liaising with business stakeholders and process design and optimization expertise.
  • Lead the development of the Value Realization framework for the program, ensuring the right key performance indicators are identified to measure and monitor the efficiency and efficacy of the Program, and monitors progress to ensure that client requirements are continually met or exceeded.
  • Responsible for the design and development of the automation operating model and secure leadership buy-ins in the prioritization and sequencing of the corporate portfolio, considering value realization and change management.
  • Works with the Lines of Business and the Process Design and Optimization team. Oversees the business requirements and the automation assessment process from a technical perspective, anticipates risks and provides effort estimations for the development of solutions.
  • Responsible for issue resolution and as required, escalates issues/barriers and findings to the Senior Manager, IA in an effort to improve decision-making, ensure achievement of timelines and successful delivery of the Intelligent Automation portfolio.

What you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, robotics, or equivalent experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant work combined experience in technology, process design and optimization, and/or business process automation. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
  • Strong operational excellence approaches and methods (Lean agile delivery, Lean thinking, Design-thinking, Lean and Six Sigma, Process excellence, System & Management Thinking).
  • Strong knowledge and ability and willingness to learn new automation tools (e.g., RPA platforms) and experience in deploying best practices for Process Excellence including automation and development of best practices for advance automation tools and capabilities (OCR, chatbots, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of automation design principles, as well as configuration, development, testing and deployment of solutions.
  • Adept at identifying business opportunities to build a portfolio including an advanced ability to identify, assess and manage risks to ensure desired outcomes.
  • Change management skills for assessing the impact of automation on organizational elements in scope.
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills, including the ability to speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of settings and styles as well as communicating messages at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Strong ability to work on several initiatives simultaneously and work within tight deadlines.

It would be great if you also had:

  • A certification in Intelligence Process automation and/or project management of development experience.
