Overview

Holt Executive are partnered with a global Satellite and Space leader that provides reliable and secure satellite-delivered voice and high-speed data communications solutions to broadcast, telecommunications, corporate and government customers worldwide. They are now developing a LEO constellation that will revolutionize global broadband connectivity for enterprise. Our partner is seeking a Senior Specialist Product Owner to act as the bridge between customers, stakeholders, and the development team, ensuring that development efforts are aligned with strategic goals and delivering maximum value to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Define and articulate a clear product vision that aligns with business objectives and delivers value to customers.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring it reflects business priorities and provides clear direction for the development team.
  • Partner with stakeholders to capture, refine, and document requirements, creating well-structured and actionable user stories.
  • Translate high-level needs into detailed user stories with defined acceptance criteria and testable outcomes.
  • Work with the development team to plan and sequence releases, balancing feature delivery with stability and ongoing maintenance.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team, fostering alignment and transparent communication.
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards before release.
  • Continuously collect and integrate feedback from users and stakeholders to guide product improvements and maintain market relevance.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in software development, a Product Owner position or a similar role in an Agile development environment with a strong focus on satellite communications or modem development.
  • An understanding of modem technologies, modulation and coding, air interfaces, and software development tools such as containerization, virtualization and cloud technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex requirements and prioritize them effectively.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive consensus and make tough decisions when necessary.
  • Preferred certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).

This position can be based in either the United States (Maryland) or Canada (Ontario).

For The United States the successful candidate must have authorization to work in the United States.

For Canada the successful candidate must be authorized to work in Canada, and have the ability to obtain Canadian Controlled Good Program (CGP) clearance.
