Overview

Senior Specialist Operations Training — Connor Clark & Lunn Private Capital, Toronto, ON

We are currently looking for a Senior Specialist Operations Training to support business growth through a comprehensive and consistent training. In this role you will be providing hands-on training to Connor Clark & Lunn Private Capital (CC&L PC) employees and ensuring that CC&L PC's procedure documentation is current and follows established standards.

This role reports to the Associate Vice President Operations Training.

What Youll Be Doing
  • Train and support onboarding by providing initial orientation and comprehensive training on CC&L PC systems and procedures.
  • Maintain and improve the operational training program structure and content.
  • Develop and maintain procedural documentation in line with business growth.
  • Provide ongoing training and coaching to team members to continuously enhance proficiency with systems and processes.
  • Assist with operational enhancements through implementation and documentation of system and process improvements.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Maintain the onboarding checklist and training agenda.
  • Provide initial orientation and training to new staff following set guidelines and standards.
  • Maintain ongoing coaching of new staff for at least the first six months after their start date.
  • Be available for ongoing questions and assistance with assigned CC&L PC team.
  • Plan, organize and run ongoing training sessions focused on various operational components of the business.
  • Maintain CC&L PC procedural and systems documentation, including:
    • Working with the CC&L PC Managers and Staff to determine which processes need to be documented.
    • Document procedures and create process workflow diagrams as part of operational enhancements.
    • Creating training documentation and materials for CC&L PC Team.
    • Assist with CC&L PC projects, work with the IS Department to test JIRAs and document operational enhancements.
About You
  • Minimum 3-5 years of back or front office operational experience in the finance / investment management industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • Customer and results focused attitude.
  • Proven ability to anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of key stakeholders.
  • Solid working knowledge or understanding of CC&L PCs applications and/or processes.
  • Experience documenting processes, procedures and systems.
  • Experience delivering training to audiences in different functional areas: sales, operations, leadership, customer service and management.
  • Proven ability to learn new systems quickly and use them effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to thrive in an ever-changing and adapting environment.
  • Effective self-starter with a can-do attitude who takes ownership and accountability for project deliverables with a demonstrated ability to multitask.
  • Critical thinking and good decision-making ability.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with training development, instructional design, facilitation and consulting is an asset.
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course is an asset.
  • University degree or equivalent working experience.
