Qualifications

  • 3-4 years experience creating and delivering presentations.
  • Sales, Business Development and Marketing experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of retirement products like RRSP, TFSA, and annuities is an asset.

Job description

The Senior Specialist, Insurance Education & Engagement / Inside Sales Representative , develops contacts and business relationships with schools and universities, & other local student societies and associations. This position engages and educates members, students, about the role and importance, value, and capabilities of the Association Insurance products and services. How you will make a difference

  • Identifying opportunities to present and educate students, and members on the importance of insurance products and services available through the association
  • Creating and delivering presentations, coordinating events and seminars, and developing social media presence and communications.
  • Identifying opportunities to sell Insurance products while also identifying the need for deeper reviews for insurance advice, referring members seeking advice to advisors in order to meet certain team goals and targets.
  • Developing and implementing an Education and Engagement plan to ensure targets are met for events, outreach and application goals.
  • Coordinating and maintaining a schedule of planned educational and engagement initiatives.
  • Researching, collecting and providing insights to internal and external stakeholders from market interactions, including competitive intelligence, environmental issues, membership, educational and licensing requirements, and other issues that may impact members and Insurance's ability to achieve its goals.

Requirements that are important to us

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Finance, Commerce, Marketing, Business Administration
  • Three to four years of relevant experience creating and delivering presentations to large groups of people.
  • Possess the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) Certificate
  • intermediate to advanced presentation, content development and communications skills, leadership, public speaking skills and consultation skills.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s license with access to a registered vehicle with some travel within Ontario required
  • Group and individual insurance knowledge an asset
  • Sales, Business Development and Marketing experience
  • Knowledge with retirement product such as RRSP, TFSA, annuities, and retirement planning knowledge is an asset.

Permanent hybrid work environment. As such, the individual in this position will be required to work a minimum number of days in our Toronto office. This position also requires travel within the assigned region on an as-needed basis (approx 40%) with some overnight travel (5-10%)
