Job Description (LOCATION, PROVINCE)

Reporting directly to the Vice President(s), Operations, the incumbent oversees the beauty business for a region of Shoppers Drug Mart locations. They will collaborate with store teams to monitor and achieve sales targets. The incumbent will optimize the performance of beauty components by identifying gaps, providing guidance, and leveraging sales tools. The primary focus will be on business building, including eventing, makeup artistry, and utilizing all available sales tools.

The incumbent liaises between Store Management, beauty teams, and vendors to facilitate a customer-centric sales culture through coaching and development of Beauty Managers and their teams.

Secondary responsibilities include supporting the execution of national programs and liaising with the Central office.

Primary responsibilities

Through store visits and communication, support sales growth, customer service, and business building tactics. They will:

Sales

  • Partner with store management to support the growth of the beauty business through implementation of corporate programs and standards.
  • Develop a strong sales culture with beauty managers and teams using available tools, coaching, and follow-up.
  • Review sales data to monitor key performance indicators.

Customer Experience

  • Identify gaps in the current customer experience within the beauty department.
  • Influence beauty teams to create in-store "wow" experiences.
  • Coach and develop beauty teams to deepen customer understanding and increase empathy.

Business Building, Coaching, and Development

  • Identify community opportunities to drive store traffic.
  • Conduct business reviews focusing on sales, customer experience, and business tactics.
  • Provide coaching and training on sales techniques, makeup artistry, and digital tools.
  • Support in-store events and promotional initiatives to increase business.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop solutions for growth.
  • Source and monitor beauty candidates, and develop a motivated sales team.
  • Drive profitability by coaching sales techniques and staying current with trends.

Other

  • Plan and coordinate new capital projects, including recruitment, vendor coordination, and training for store openings and transitions.

Experience

Between five and seven years of retail and/or marketing or equivalent experience.

Education

Post-secondary courses or a diploma in Marketing, Business, Makeup Artistry, Esthetics, or equivalent.

Working Conditions

Physical effort includes sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting light objects. Store visits require standing and walking for extended periods.
