A financial services leader in Toronto is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design the Wealth Management Technology architecture. The role includes leading technical solution architecture development and collaborating with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in application design, micro-services, and enterprise security concepts. Job Summary

Design Wealth Management Technology architecture (Solution Architecture). Partner with IT Operations and business stakeholders to lead development of the end-to-end technical solution architecture for significant IT initiatives that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs. What will you do

1. Design Solution Architecture in large or complex programs, including system and application designs, integration, data architecture, software, and technical architecture, in accordance with strategies and objectives.
2. Assess and analyze current environment and technology choices to evaluate solution alternatives that meet business needs, program timeline, budget, and quality.
3. Serve as the lead technical authority, responsible for planning all activities related to the overall solution architecture development.
4. Collaborate with SMEs to ensure all aspects of the solution architecture are defined and elaborated.
5. Present program solution architecture at Internal Architecture Reviews and/or WM and Enterprise Architecture Review boards.
6. Work with Data Stewards and Data Owners to develop and implement Data Strategy.
7. Be accountable for data strategy implementation and architectural direction on assigned projects.

What do you need to succeed

Must-have

• 8 years of Solution Architecture experience with advanced knowledge of application design, development, resilient systems, integration, security, and in-memory technologies.
• Solid experience with technologies/frameworks such as micro-services, REST APIs, Streaming, and Data Lakehouse.
• Knowledge of enterprise security concepts including SSO, SSL, SAML, OAuth 2.0, gateways, encryption, authentication, and entitlements.
• Ability to evaluate options quickly, make decisions, and execute efficiently within a high-pressure environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, consultative, team communication, and facilitative skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Technology stack includes Kafka, JavaJEE, SpringCloud, Spring Boot, OpenShift, Kubernetes, SQL Server, Snowflake.

Nice-to-have

• Data Architecture experience, including distributed databases, tuning, and data modeling.
• Wealth Management industry experience.
• Experience with Broadridge Model, SingleStore (MemSQL), ETL DataStage.
