Position Overview:

Technology Services focuses on the organization’s technology, including Application Operations, Release and Change, Infrastructure Management, Enterprise Management, and Solution Delivery. The core focus of the team is to provide end-to-end coordination of CIBC Mellon technology, solution delivery, and consulting to all staff technology support requirements.

The Senior Solution Designer is responsible for coordinating, developing, and establishing IT delivery of approved solutions, which may include: development of complex EUCs, custom reporting, new business solutions, and reporting.

Through participation in technical project teams, the Senior Solution Designer establishes technical solutions that align with CIBC Mellon’s technology strategy and business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Documents system design solutions of medium to high complexity, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and compatibility with target architectures and standards.
• Collaborates with Business Analysts, Architects, and end users to ensure system designs meet business requirements and adhere to technology standards.
• Provides guidance, acts as SME, and shares technical knowledge to facilitate team problem solving.
• Maintains product knowledge and technology expertise, providing consultation and technical advice internally and externally.
• Develops complex reports using various tools to meet client and operational needs.
• Reviews the effectiveness of existing systems and recommends improvements or further leverage.
• Provides consultation and guidance to project teams on complex technology solutions.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including leading technical project teams.
• Experience developing and delivering solutions leveraging platforms like Microsoft Access, Excel, Business Objects, Salesforce, SharePoint, or SSRS.
• Aptitude for continuous learning and innovative thinking.
• Understanding of SDLC.
• Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a client service focus.
