Job description

Join to apply for the Senior Solution Architect role at ATCO .

This role involves planning, architecting, and providing guidance on software, technology, and third-party solutions within Canadian Utilities Limited. The position requires research, opportunity assessments, and leveraging broad technological knowledge to enhance and evolve the company's technology portfolio. It is a techno-functional role requiring both technical and functional consulting skills for enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities include :

  • Designing and developing architecture for enterprise applications, components, and integrations.
  • Leading solution design and configuration of COTS applications.
  • Collaborating with technical teams, business partners, and third parties to define current and future architecture states.
  • Ensuring architecture aligns with standards, policies, and best practices across data, security, and infrastructure domains.
  • Managing the application portfolio for technology currency, agility, and cost efficiency.
  • Developing architecture artifacts like blueprints and roadmaps.
  • Facilitating meetings for architecture review and decision-making.

Additional duties include :

  • Acting as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Validating solution architectures and supporting documentation.
  • Assisting in project planning, quality control, and risk management.
  • Engaging with vendors and industry experts to stay current on technology trends.

Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 15 years of business / IT experience.
  • Proven experience with COTS and SaaS solutions across various domains.
  • Strong knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, and middleware.
  • Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, Web Services, REST / SOAP APIs.
  • Familiarity with architectural frameworks and modeling techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of cloud architecture principles.
  • TOGAF certification is preferred.
