The Role

A Senior Software Tester is a leader in the testing space, enabling their team and working closely with our cross functional teams to ensure quality experiences for our customers. They solve complex problems, drive the improvement of quality across the product, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to :

  • Lead functional testing efforts across all development stages, ensuring alignment with functional requirements and focusing on risk-based prioritization.
  • Develop, automate and execute comprehensive test plans and cases.
  • Configure environments to mirror real-world usage, collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and manage scalable automated testing frameworks.
  • Monitor and improve test coverage, collaborate with teams to address challenges and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Design and architect complex software tests, components and modules.
  • Review, verify and enhance own designs against specifications and lead reviews of others' designs.
  • Maintain application support processes and ensure all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures.
  • Use application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.

To be successful in this role, you should have :

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent
  • 7+ years working in relevant Software Testing roles
  • Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and CI / CD integration
  • Ability to work autonomously within a clear accountability framework, addressing complex issues while planning, monitoring, and escalating as needed to meet objectives
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, contribute to cross-functional teams, facilitate collaboration, and make decisions impacting project success
  • Proficiency in handling diverse, complex technical tasks, resolving issues through investigation and creative thinking
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, drive personal and team development, evaluate technologies, and ensure security and ethics
Additional Information

Your team and particularly your Lead Software Developer are here to provide support, direction, and inspiration. You will also work with and obtain support across the entire Seequent team and from external parties. This is a hybrid-based role, and you are required to be in the Toronto Seequent office 2 days a week.
