The AI Cloud and Developer Infrastructure organization is responsible for delivering and maintaining the tools and services that engineers here at GM use every day to do their best work and drive our cars forward. We work on tools and services that enhance the entire development process for engineers at GM—from how and where code is checked out, modified, compiled, tested, and merged to how it is eventually deployed. Our goal is to ensure that our AV engineers and others here have world‑class tools and a seamless development experience so they can focus on the problems that matter most in their domain.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with an extensive engineering background, experience using a variety of developer tools and technologies, and a passion for developer productivity. As a leader on this team, you will care deeply about the technical development of other engineers and effectively balance the needs and priorities of the business, our users, and the growth of our engineers.
The Autonomy Build & Integration team stewards the end‑to‑end continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), build, and release workflows that enable our Autonomous Driving Active Safety (ADAS) features, particularly Super Cruise. We aim to turn software changes into safe, shippable artifacts with confidence and quality. We build and operate the foundations behind application and system‑on‑chip image builds, CI pipelines, artifact and image management, validation benches, and release promotion workflows. Our mission is to make development faster, software better, and engineering impact stronger by improving pipeline reliability and performance, standardizing quality and compliance gates, strengthening observability, and converging our existing workflows with common build and orchestration infrastructure across AV.
The salary range for this role is $115,000 to $164,600. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
