Job summary

Flow Foundation, a layer-one blockchain platform, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help build the decentralized computer powering Web3 apps.

You will work on core Flow protocol, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability, with a fully remote, global team and open-source software.

The role requires solving ambiguous problems, contributing designs, and shaping a high-availability service for billions of transactions.

Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems, scalability and algorithm engineering, preferably in Golang.
• Experience delivering software proposals and building consensus with stakeholders.
• Experience building scalable solutions in resource-constrained environments, performance optimization and profiling.
• Ability to maintain and operate high-availability services.
• Experience with web3 ecosystem and smart contract development.
• Enjoys and understands the nuances of working with a developer community in public.
• Knowledge of byzantine-fault-tolerant system design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy new systems to enhance throughput, latency, availability, and security.
• Maintain, improve and optimize existing systems.
