PointClickCare is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver high-quality software within a health-tech environment. You will identify tasks across the development life cycle, collaborate with business stakeholders, and implement scalable, tested code.

The role emphasizes Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and TDD expertise, with a focus on cloud-ready microservices and robust monitoring. Expect hybrid work with obligations to travel to Mississauga and Salt Lake City as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience writing clean code that performs well at scale using Java.
• Experience with Spring Boot.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL).
• Solid experience writing RESTful API endpoints.
• Proficient in TDD and working knowledge of it.
• GIT proficiency and source control practices.
• Experience with system and performance monitoring tools (e.g. New Relic, DataDog).
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, RestAssured).
• Excellent organization, critical-thinking and leadership skills.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision and learning mindset.

Generative AI Code Assistants

Use of Generative AI Code Assistants (e.g. Github Copilot) and knowledge of latest Generative AI Model capabilities would be an asset

At PointClickCare, base salary is one of the many components that make up our total rewards package. The CAD base salary range for this position is $142,000-158,000 (not overtime eligible) + bonus + benefits. Compensation is assessed individually and aligned to experience, skills, and market context. The posted range reflects typical expectations for this role.
