Senior Software Engineer- Test (12 month contract)

The Senior Software Engineer - Test (12 month contract) can work in a dynamic environment consisting of a cross functional team. You should be comfortable in daily communication across multiple levels of leadership, while also being able to work independently. As a member of this team, you will:

  • Analyze and develop new testing strategies to improve product quality
  • Introduce and integrate industry standard SaaS observability testing tools and processes
  • Develop and maintain required automation infrastructure to support new product feature testing
  • Develop automated tests that cover end-user use case scenarios for a SaaS application
  • Analyze product feature requirements and write appropriate functional test plans
  • Troubleshoot and investigate automated test and product issues

Skills and Qualifications

Must Have:

  • 3+ years professional experience developing automated tests against a SaaS application hosted in GCP, AWS or Azure
  • Experience implementing chaos, resiliency, SaaS infrastructure and region testing
  • Implemented tools for monitoring service health, alerting, metrics using of production-level monitoring systems such as DataDog
  • Strong Java programming skills as well as experience working with shell scripts.
  • Experience developing interface boundary and functional tests for common protocols such as REST, gRPC and RabbitMQ
  • Strong test and bug investigation, debugging and reporting skills
  • Expertise developing tests in a Docker and Kubernetes environment as well the infrastructure to support them
  • Experience with industry standard automation and development tools (JIRA, Jenkins, Git, Docker, JMeter, SoapUI, etc.)
  • Common testing experience in: SQL Databases, SSO, OAUTH2, OpenID, or SAML and RBAC functionality
  • Strong working network, security, Linux system administration, and troubleshooting skills

Nice to have:

  • Understand backwards compatibility testing techniques
  • Working understanding of ease-of-use, usability and UX testing
  • Familiarity with security testing principles including penetration testing
  • Experience integrating a contract testing framework in a distributed enterprise environment
  • Python with Flask experience
