Job description

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Session Replay team, you’ll join a cross-functional team of engineers responsible for the functionality that lets Web and Mobile developers rewind and replay their users' journeys leading up to a bug. In this high-impact role, you’ll be building new capabilities that help developers understand the context in which their application's errors occur. Replays are connected to other context collected by Sentry, such as errors, traces, user feedback, and feature flags, to give developers all the tools they need to debug a problem in one place.

In this role you will

1. Build and maintain features for Session Replay, User Feedback, and adjacent product areas using Python, Django, React, TypeScript, and Rust.
2. Lead high-value initiatives and implement high-quality features driving engineering excellence.
3. Work with product management and the larger engineering organization to define, implement, and ship new features.
4. Maintain and expand the functionality of a service used by millions of developers.

Qualifications

1. 5+ years of experience building full-stack applications and working with large-scale distributed systems.
2. Proficiency with our tech stack (TypeScript, React, Python, Django, Postgres).
3. Proven ability to design and implement features from concept to completion, with a strong grasp of both front-end and back-end development.
4. Experience in rapidly iterating on proof-of-concept implementations to bring new product ideas to life.
5. Experience with end-to-end ownership of a large feature or system.

The base salary range for this position is CAD $185,000 to $220,000. The actual salary will depend on factors such as location, education, experience, skills, and knowledge.
