Senior Software Engineer - ServiceNow CMDB Engineer

Job Description

Guides team members to provide direct input to the overall engineering process and to team meetings. Coordination within a team environment is essential to work on various aspects of the platform and products, as is a devotion to collaboration to problem solve, design sophistically, and increase product quality.

Job Responsibility

• Designs and develops solutions to various problems either independently or in a team environment; designs and maintains efficient code that is reliable.
• Forms technical documents such as a design specification document.
• Utilizes relational databases by integrating data storage solutions.
• Utilizes Azure services such as, but not limited to, Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, Containers, Cosmos DB, and event hubs.
• Utilizes messaging patterns for system-to-system communication.
• Ensures applications are performing at high capacity, responsiveness, and quality.
• Finds solutions to reduce issues and defects.
• Maintains that the platform's code and data are organized, automated, and of high quality.
• Guides junior team personnel by recommending software design and development opportunities/best practices.
• Operates under limited guidance and work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Job Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience required.

HIGHLY PREFERRED -
ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator (CSA) certification.
Experience with one or more cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
2+ years' experience with JavaScript and PowerShell.
2+ years' experience with Configuration Management.
2+ years' experience with hardware and software infrastructure.
2+ years’ experience with CMDBs and discovery technologies.
Familiarity with processing large datasets, deduplicating, and sorting data by importance.
Familiarity with integrating applications using REST APIs, SQL, and SFTP.
Support process training & communication efforts.
