Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build the Scheduling product within the Team Management Suite for restaurant employers. You’ll own backend design, development, and deployment, delivering scalable systems that balance profitability, predictability, and guest satisfaction.

You’ll collaborate with product and design, mentor peers, and contribute to a culture focused on quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of back-end experience with Java, Kotlin, or similar.
• Experience owning and operating production systems.
• Track record of tackling ambiguous, high-impact challenges and delivering scalable solutions.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join in building the Scheduling product as part of the company’s Team Management Suite for restaurant employers. You’ll play a key roll* in the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions that enable restaurant owners to build an optimal labor plan that balances interests in profitability, employee’s desire for predictability and flexibility, and guest satisfaction.

***About this roll*: As a Software Engineer on our team, you will:*

• Build, run, and improve core backend systems alongside a collaborative, supportive team.
• Take end-to-end ownership of systems, contributing to a strong engineering culture focused on quality, reliability, and long-term maintainability
• Lead work across the full development lifecycle—design, estimation, implementation, testing, debugging, and deployment—while learning and applying best practices for building and operating reliable systems at scale.
• Ship code that directly impacts the company’s growth and the day-to-day operations of restaurant teams
• Partner with product and design to influence what we build and how we build it
• Contribute to and elevate team standards through thoughtful code reviews and technical discussions
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other team members

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.

Pay Range

$125,000—$175,000 CAD
