This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing, mission-driven team tackling the future of mineral exploration using cutting-edge AI and software. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work directly with scientists and engineers to make mineral exploration data accessible and actionable, building impactful tools that are reshaping how discoveries are made. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of geologists, data scientists, and engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions, from designing data pipelines to deploying production systems. The role is fully remote, with occasional opportunities to engage with field operations in places like Zambia, Canada, or the U.S.

Accountabilities:

• Collaborate closely with geologists and data scientists to develop software solutions aligned with exploration needs
• Build and maintain data pipelines and tools to enable machine and human insights from exploration data
• Lead small teams on key projects and ensure successful delivery from design through implementation
• Own project lifecycles, from planning to deployment and post-launch support
• Enhance the accessibility, usability, and integration of geospatial and geological data systems
• Participate in design/code reviews, give feedback, and improve system reliability and maintainability
• Support operational management of services and empower scientific colleagues through software tooling

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with production cloud-based data systems
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience writing scalable, readable, and tested production code
• Proven success designing and deploying large-scale systems
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and deliver iterative, high-impact solutions
• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn about mineral exploration and geology
• Comfortable in a dynamic, startup environment and motivated by business-focused product development

• Competitive salary range: $175,000 – $210,000
• Remote-first work policy with flexibility on location within Canada or the U.S.
