Job summary

Lyft\'s Applied AI group in Toronto, Canada, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Recommendations team. You will help build backend systems that decide what riders see and when, operating in a distributed, production environment.

The role is full-time and hybrid, requiring in-office presence at least 3 days a week. Candidates should bring 5+ years of production software experience, strong Python and Go skills, and expertise with cloud platforms and databases.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent in CS/Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of software/production infrastructure experience
• Experience with Python and Go
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), distributed systems, and databases such as PostgreSQL or DynamoDB
• Proficient with AI coding tools to accelerate workflows
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming
• Experience with data structures or algorithms
• Participate in the team\'s on-call rotation
