Job summary

P&P Optica is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design and implement high-quality software across our product ecosystem. This role focuses on general software development with meaningful involvement in the machine learning infrastructure that runs on our systems.

You will work in an agile environment, lead code reviews and design sessions, and collaborate across teams to push our technology forward.

Qualifications

• Architect distributed systems at scale with modern software development practices.
• Strong Python and Linux expertise for high‑reliability systems.
• Experience with real‑time data processing and cloud environments (AWS).
• Ability to mentor junior developers and drive code reviews and design sessions.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 or similar security/compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑quality software across the product ecosystem.
• Lead code reviews and design sessions in an agile environment.
• Partner with teams to advance ML infrastructure and tooling.
• Develop for edge and cloud deployments (AWS) and on‑prem components.
• Write clean, tested code (Python primarily, some JavaScript).
• Ensure deployment readiness and automation while managing technical debt.
