Job summary

MFI Technologies Incorporated in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance our Nuke-based 2D pipeline and support the artists and supervisors who rely on it.

You will collaborate with the pipeline team to design intuitive, artist-friendly workflows, develop tools and plug-ins in Python and C++, and ensure robust testing with Git. This is a full-time position in a dynamic VFX studio environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience writing Nuke pipeline code using Python
• Passion for staying on top of latest features in Nuke
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated talent for designing intuitive, artist-friendly workflows without sacrificing functionality
• Understanding of object-oriented programming patterns
• Comfortable with Git and unit testing
• Desire to probe and understand the inner workings of complex systems
• Basic DCC familiarity with Houdini, Maya
• Experience with PyQt or PySide preferred
• Understanding of Color Science is a plus
• Experience programming in C++, especially using Nuke's NDK preferred
