MetricLy turns décor inspiration into shoppable, augmented-reality rooms. After 18 months of heads-down R & D we have a proven AI style quiz, a live multi-vendor catalogue, and an AR viewer that drops furniture into real spaces at true scale. We’re racing toward an early-fall 2025 public launch and need a battle-tested engineering leader to transform polished prototypes into a production-grade SaaS platform.

The challenge you’ll own

• Architect & build a Go back end and lightning-fast server-rendered HTML front end, adding React/Node components only where they truly shine.
• Finish the must-have features: multi-vendor ingestion/search, mood-board builder, purchase-order flow, and WebXR/ARKit viewer.
• Write clean, high-performance, maintainable code and drive rigorous code reviews.
• Stand up CI/CD, observability, security, performance targets, and automated tests on AWS.
• Coordinate cross-functionally (product, design, research) to ensure every sprint meets business objectives and compliance standards.
• Launch, measure, iterate — and set the technical roadmap that carries MetricLy well beyond MVP.

• Proven team-lead experience: you set direction, mentor developers, and keep releases on schedule.
• Mastery of Go (Golang) and solid front-end fundamentals (HTML/CSS, performance).
• Confident with React and Node.js for interactive components or legacy bridges.
• Fluent with AWS (API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, IAM) and with clean ETL/data-pipeline practices.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented & data-model design, database integration, JSON/XML schemas, and modern Agile workflows.
• Self-motivated, able to juggle priorities, communicate crisply, and thrive in a fast-moving start-up.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada and willing to be paid through Metric Design’s Canadian payroll (IRAP requirement).
