Coinbase is seeking experienced frontend engineers to help develop the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. You will contribute to building systems that make cryptocurrency accessible worldwide.

The Consumer Product Group aims to make the Coinbase retail app the easiest and fastest way to access crypto. Our goal for 2024 is to be the #1 self-custody wallet by MTUs and download share. Wallet is central to the future of web3 and Coinbase, with products including: Coinbase app, advanced trading, dApps, and staking.

What you'll be doing:

• Design secure, reliable services to integrate with blockchains and add new cryptocurrencies to Coinbase, Pro, Custody, and other units.
• Create a user-friendly interface for digital currency apps, adding features like staking, voting, and prediction markets.
• Develop infrastructural services for secure storage, accounting, and transactions to ensure safe asset transfers for users.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and leadership to translate our vision into a practical quarterly roadmap.
• Contribute positively in meetings, fostering an inclusive environment for coworkers.

What we look for in you:

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years developing web apps and deploying user-facing features using JavaScript and modern frameworks like React.
• Experience shipping user-facing features with component-based UI frameworks.
• Knowledge of current front-end best practices, including performance, security, and usability.
• Experience working with designers, engineers, and product managers throughout product and design lifecycles.
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code that meets customer needs.

Nice to have:

• Experience in finance or security-related front-end projects.
• At least 1 year developing React Native mobile apps or migrating native apps to React Native.

Pay Transparency Notice: The annual salary range for this position is from $185,000 to $185,000 USD, plus target bonus, equity, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).
