What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Collaborate with Machine Learning, Fullstack engineers, and scientific teams to tackle complex document mining challenges
2. Define and apply best practices across a broad platform of technologies in a cloud-based environment
3. Lead or consult on engineering design proposals aligned with the company's roadmap
4. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and advocate for project enhancements
5. Scale data pipelines to enable efficient data flow from research to platform

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field within science
2. 5+ years of experience as a software developer in the industry
3. Proficiency in Python and SQL
4. Experience with event-driven architecture, specifically Pub/Sub
5. Proven track record in building high-quality, maintainable code

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
2. Exposure to Machine Learning or Data Science
3. Familiarity with Auth0 and Terraform
4. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD)
5. Experience building internal tooling for enhanced operational efficiency
