About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Backend Platform SRE team, you will ensure the reliability and performance of our customer-facing services and internal tools. Your responsibilities include responding to incidents, resolving issues, improving system reliability, and driving continuous improvements to enhance our platform's speed and efficiency. You will also work on architectural enhancements and implement new operational processes, leveraging AI tools to accelerate development.

About the Team

The Backend Platform SRE team focuses on designing and maintaining reliable, large-scale, distributed systems. Your work will impact millions of users, and you'll tackle challenges related to system scaling, automation, and infrastructure robustness.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reliable, scalable services throughout their lifecycle
• Monitor system performance, availability, and latency
• Automate to improve system speed and reliability
• Respond to incidents promptly to meet performance goals

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of software development experience
• 3 years in designing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems, with 2 years in technical leadership
• Strong skills in maintaining high standards for production services
• Experience with high throughput, distributed systems, and automation

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and analyze complex data
• Experience collaborating across teams to implement platform solutions
• Innovative thinking and expertise in leveraging AI for delivery
• Previous SRE experience is a plus
