Work Arrangement : This role is hybrid at Oshawa Elevation Centre or Markham Elevation Centre. You are expected to report to that location at least three times a week.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

Act as the innovation owner of multiple cloud platforms and collaborate with GM IT Operations and Infrastructure teams to ensure platform compliance with corporate cybersecurity, vulnerability, and infrastructure requirements.

Lead cross-functional teams to define and document requirements for developing back-end capabilities, ensuring scalability and stability within a larger CI/CD framework.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal process partners during development and maintenance.

Develop innovative methods to automate virtualization platform maintenance.

Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure and virtualization for the organization.

Provide updates and live demonstrations to leadership and external organizations.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
  • 10 years of experience developing and maintaining cloud applications.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, Quarkus, SystemC.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.), containerization, and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with GM cybersecurity standards and best practices.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in automation tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Successful leadership of challenging projects with high ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in relevant fields.
  • Familiarity with GM’s in-house test automation tools and libraries.
  • Understanding of automotive communications protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI).
  • Knowledge of automotive development tools (Vector CANape, CANoe, etc.).
