the company is hiring a Senior Engineer for the AI Authentication team to define identity and access in a GenAI-powered world. You will join a collaborative, fast-moving environment that ships features without breaking things, owning end-to-end development.

You will work with NodeJS/TypeScript, a touch of Go, and databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB, contributing to resilient, scalable systems and strong security practices.

Qualifications

• Solid programming experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and NodeJS.
• Practical experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Ability to write well-tested, high-quality code.
• Experience in iterative development with strong ownership.
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of architecture across infrastructure, security, data, and integration.

Responsibilities

• Bring expertise in identity and security while building features and standards for the GenAI world.
• Build and maintain scalable services using TypeScript, NodeJS, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to improve identity and access for GenAI apps.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code; participate in code reviews and design discussions.

We launched our Auth for GenAI offering and we are looking for an Senior Engineer to join us to lead the team taking care of the Identity Protocols parts of the game.

Auth0 works with NodeJS ( Javascript or Typescript), a hint of Go and MongoDB or PostgreSQL databases.

What will you do:

• Bring expertise in identity and security while building innovative features and standards that will secure the AgenticAI world

• Build and maintain scalable services usingTypeScript, NodeJSPostgreSQL/MongoDB.

• Collaborate with other product managers, designers, and senior engineers to deliver features that improve identityand access for GenAI applications.

• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, and participate in code reviews and system design discussions.

• Contribute to observability and alerting systems to ensure reliability and performance of our services.

• Continuously learn and grow by working alongside experienced engineers on complex distributed systems.

Qualifications and requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

• Solid programming experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with NodeJSruntime environments.

• Practical experience with SQLand NoSQL databases (preferably Postgresand MongoDB).

• The ability to write well-tested, good quality code.

• An enjoyment of working in an iterative development environment.

• The ability to work well with technical and non-technical people to deliver high-value results.

• Excellence when working autonomously, knowing when to seek help from team members.

• A systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership anddrive.

• Experience and understanding of architecture principles across infrastructure platforms, security, data,integration, and application layers.

• Experience working on resilient products that can scale.

Bonus points for:

• Understanding of IAM Concepts

• Experience with using AI Agents, to better understand the problem space we operate in

• Experience creating and maintaining public and secure APIs.

• Curiosity about AI and its intersection with identity and security.

• Experience working on Identity and Access Management software and concepts

• Knowledge of observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between:

$136,000—$187,000 CAD
