Job description

About OpenLoop

OpenLoop was co-founded by CEO, Dr. Jon Lensing, and COO, Christian Williams, with the vision to bring care anywhere. Our telehealth support solutions are thoughtfully designed to streamline and simplify go-to-market care delivery for companies offering meaningful virtual support to patients across an expansive array of specialties, in all 50 states.

About The Role

OpenLoop is building the future of healthcare infrastructure. We are hiring Senior Full Stack Engineers to join our Product Engineering organization with opportunities available across multiple teams and initiatives. This role will start as remote and when we have our Toronto office, it will be hybrid with 3 days in the office.

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at OpenLoop, you will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling production-grade systems that power our nationwide healthcare network. Depending on team placement, you may work on clinical workflows, partner integrations, AI-powered services, patient engagement platforms, or core infrastructure. We are building a strong pipeline of senior engineers who are excited to work across the stack and help drive technical excellence across the company.

What You'll Do
  • Lead Deployments: Architect and execute technical integrations for new healthcare partners, customizing our platform to fit their unique workflows and legacy systems.
  • Bridge the Gap: Build the “last mile” of connectivity. You will design robust data pipelines to securely ingest clinical data and synchronize it with our AI services.
  • Communication Infrastructure: Configure and optimize voice and messaging channels to ensure reliable patient engagement across various telephony networks.
  • Cross-functional Work: Collaborate with engineering, product, and clinical teams to translate partner needs into crisp technical execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven Engineering Experience: 5+ years of experience, strong background in shipping production-grade software in modern cloud environments. Comfortable hopping across the stack—from APIs to databases to infrastructure.
  • Data & Security Fluency: Experience handling sensitive data with a security-first mindset. Familiarity with industry-standard compliance requirements and data protocols is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate ambiguous partner needs into clear technical requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Integration Expertise: Deep experience connecting disparate systems. Understand the complexities of data ingestion, API interoperability, and third-party integrations.
  • AI/LLM Curiosity: Practical experience or strong interest in working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and understanding how to operationalize them in production settings.

Our Company

We have a relatively flat organizational structure here at OpenLoop. Everyone is encouraged to bring ideas to the table and make things happen. This fits in well with our core values of Autonomy, Competence and Belonging, as we want everyone to feel empowered and supported to do their best work.
